Negotiating Identities: Challenges for Female Veterans

photo 1The Conflict Resolution Association hosted an event on Thursday on the challenges to female veterans in the United States. The event included a screening of the documentary “Service: When Women Come Marching Home,” followed by a panel discussion on the challenges faced by women both in the military and as veterans, when they return home. The panelists included Dr. Ed Laurance, a professor of international policy at MIIS who served in Vietnam; MIIS student Trisha Thibodaux, a U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq; and our director Dr. Iyer, who has been researching the role of women in the military.
