Peace, Trade, and Development Program

IMG_0220This summer, our director Dr. Iyer taught in the Peace, Trade, and Development program, a four-week course at MIIS designed to give upper-level students and new professionals the concepts and tools to work in human security, global trade, social change and development. Dr. Iyer began teaching on August 5 with two sections: Introduction to Conflict and Peace, and Culture and Conflict. This was followed by a day of site visits in Salinas. She finished her portion of the course on August 7 with two classes on Challenges to Peacebuilding and Skills for Conflict Resolution.
