Make Your Way to Monterey: MIIS Reunion 2013
Do memories of the People’s House, Steve’s Sweetheart Café, running with Glynn Wood at the Monterey Peninsula College track, or hanging out in the library bring you back to your time on campus? Why not relive those special moments with family and former classmates—join us in Monterey in 2013 for our first reunion in almost ten years!
The gathering on July 25-28, 2013 promises to bring Institute alumni from around the world to Monterey for a guaranteed great time sharing MIIS memories, tall tales and hours of sightseeing on the peninsula. Drive, fly, walk, or sail on back to Monterey, where you’re guaranteed to be surrounded by former and current MIIS faculty, former classmates, new alumni friends, and a host of events.
Reunion events will include campus activities such as a faculty pancake breakfast, a series of educational programs on key global issues, campus tours highlighting old stories and new facilities, and a special reception at the president’s house. But you can’t come to Monterey and not indulge in some sightseeing—so there will also be a range of social events focused on peninsula treasures, including whale watching, golf, tours of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Carmel shopping trips and much more. Two weekend highlights that promise to bring new memories are the “MIIS Miler” (a family and friends fun run), and the Saturday night gala reception.
Information on the full schedule, special class anniversary events, and registration details will be distributed to all alumni later this year. Start talking to your MIIS classmates and make your plans to return to Monterey in the summer of 2013. We can’t wait to welcome you back!
