We are so excited to have a 2017 CIF spring student conference in Nagasaki! Students from across the United States and Russia will join their Japanese counterparts to discuss the Comprehensive Nuclear- Weapons-Test-Ban Treaty, and its role in creating a world free of nuclear weapons. Holding the conference in Nagasaki is extremely significant. While there CIF students will have numerous chances to learn about the actual impact of the use of nuclear weapons when they visit the atomic bomb museum and listen to atomic bomb survivors, Hibakusha. Such amazing experiences will strengthen students’ determination to work toward nuclear disarmament to ensure that Nagasaki is the last city to experience nuclear devastation.

CIF is so honored that Dr. Lassina Zerbo, Executive Secretary of the CTBTO,  will join the CIF spring conference as a keynote speaker at the public symposium.
