buenaonda-poster-12Company / Owner Bio

Buena Onda co-founder, Valerie Gaino, spent 10 years in central Chile (2005-2015) where she had the privilege of getting to know the people and growers in this prime agricultural region as well as their Spanish and Mapuche ancestral roots.

She returned to the US to realize a business venture/social enterprise bringing the best food and wine products to the US market while maintaining a high level of business integrity that supports small and organic farms.

How does your company reflect its ethics?

Buena Onda is dedicated to providing the highest quality, direct trade, unique, boutique, natural and organic food and wine products from Chile to our US retailers, distributors, and wholesale customers.

In response to scandals about the functionality and ‘fairness’ of ‘fair-trade’ in the global market place, Buena Onda seeks to provide customers with the highest level of transparency. Customers will have confidence in knowing where their products are coming from and that the farmers and producers are justly compensated. Buena Onda caters to both millennial and baby-boomer consumer market trends in by offering:

• Organic products

• Direct Trade products

• Well sourced products

• Non-GMO products

• Gluten Free products

• Products from small and medium sized farms

Buena Onda supports and sponsors small Chilean farmers with implementations of organic growing techniques and in their pursuit of organic certification.
