tesmanarehCompany / Owner Bio

Tesmaraneh is a brand that aims to promote local Tailors & Artisans in Ghana, and girls education in Sierra Leone. Because of the aims , plans and the current work Tesmaraneh is doing, this adds sustainability to our product. For example we are currently elevating the standard of living of the tailors and artisans that work for the brand; also recently we donated to a scholarship fund for girls in Sierra Leone.

How does your company reflect its ethics?

1.Vision This brand aims to promote girls education and designing career in West Africa, starting first in Sierra Leone and Ghana, and later other West African countries. We hope to proffer a solution on how to promote girls access to education, and create distribution channels and skill development programs for the designers, artisans and tailors in these countries.

2. Long Term Goals The long term goals are to increase the number of school-going girls in several West African countries. The aim is to create a simple system or action plan of promoting girls’ education, that could easily be replicated in other parts of West Africa. In addition, the objective of Tesmaraneh is to improve the standard of living of fashion workers by creating highly sustainable distribution channels for their designs and ensuring appropriate salaries.

Finally, another long term goal is to construct a designing school that would be beneficial to the girls, tailors, artisans and designers. Just recently we donated some money from our profit to a scholarship fund in Sierra Leone and now we are working on our first workshop. Tesmaraneh is only 6 months old.
