Cynthia Yeh's CBE summer 2012 internship experience

About Cynthia

My name is Cynthia, and presently, I am mid-way through the International Environmental Policy graduate program at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS).

I recently concluded my work-study with the Seafood Watch (associated with the Monterey Bay Aquarium (MBA)) in an internal assessment of their criteria system. It was a great place to work which made it hard to go.

However, this summer I have a CBE internship at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) where I will be working in the Ocean Innovations department under Rod Fujita on “data poor fisheries.” I’m not entirely sure if we’re going to work on developing methods or evaluating methods. Also the nature of the project may change after he assesses my skills and interests; regardless, I am ecstatic.

I’m  sad to leave the Seafood Watch, but I know the experience here is necessary in building my skill-set.
So, follow me on my adventure as a CBE fellow with this cutting edge established NGO located in San Francisco, California
