And the Oscar goes to…!

The 86th Annual Academy awards aired last Sunday, March 2nd.  Dozens of movies, actors, actresses, and behind the scenes people were lucky recipients of one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry.  To gear up for the big show, a few students attended a screening of the films nominated for best live action and animated shorts at the local cinema.  The students and myself were lucky enough to see over 15 films, ranging in length from 7-30 minutes, for only $10.  Some made us giggle, others made us cry.  One thing is for sure, we were lucky to see these films all in one place on the big screen since most are never there.
