Halloween Fun!

Halloween is many Americans’ favorite holiday.  It means cooler weather, good food, parties, fresh smells, pumpkin carving, candy, and of course dressing up!  In short, it’s a very festive time of year, and the day was no different here at school.

We started off the day with pumpkin carving.  MIIS’ student services provided the whole student body with all of the necessary equipment to carve an impressive pumpkin.  This was the first carving experience for most of our students, and I’d say theirs turned out great!

The day continued with a taco bar, charades, and a costume contest.  What would you have dressed up as?  Who do you think the students voted for as the best costume?

The ancient vampire from Russia, of course!

It was an incredibly beautiful Halloween day in Monterey (very different from the cold Halloween’s I remember as a kid), and as usual, I’m thankful to the students for making it another memorable one!
