2012 Global Trade and Development Program Application Now Available!

With autumn just around the corner, it’s time to start planning your next move toward academic and professional success by applying to the Monterey Institute’s Global Trade and Development Program.

All applicants who have completed (or will complete) at least their sophomore year of study and who have completed an introductory course in economics by July of 2012 are eligible.

Ag Against Hunger feeds needy by field gleaning

Then, netted and gloved, knives in hand, students from as far away as Palestine, Malaysia, Kenya, Indonesia and Vietnam swarm with nearly 100 Monterey Bay locals into the fields of Martin Jefferson & Sons north of Salinas.

The volunteer gleaners are in a harvested field. Their job is to find the remaining heads of lettuce, big and healthy enough to collect for area food banks…”
