The Environmental Task Force and Our Green Thumb

celebrates

International Climate Change Day

Please come celebrate the fall season while helping to promote climate change and the decrease of carbon emissions.  From October 19-22 Environmental Task Force and Our Green Thumb will be outside Samson from 12-2 pm to conduct a letter writing campaign to encourage US Congressional Representative for Monterey County Sam Farr to support climate change legislation that will help reduce carbon emission to a cap of 350 parts per million.

On Saturday, October 24 from 2-6pm in the Community Garden we will hold a celebratory fall festival to finish the letter writing campaign.  The festival will include baked goods and drinks, face painting, music, pumpkin carving and a team relay race* with prizes.  Then starting at 6pm we will show a documentary on climate change in the garden.
