DPMI winter 2011 alumna, Dr. Genevieve Chabot, founded Iqra Fund (“read” in Arabic), a U.S. based nonprofit organization committed to serving girls and women in remote regions faced with economic, social, and political barriers to education and maternal health.  Iqra’s education initiatives aim to increase student success in schools, decrease student dropout rates, and increase community literacy.
