About

The Monterey Institute of International Studies has pioneered cross-cultural and cross-border learning in professional education since the 1960s.  It is now a recognized leader in higher education for training cross-sectoral global leaders in business, policy, and civil society.

At the Graduate School of International Policy and Management (GSIPM), over 45% of our student body is comprised of international students and nearly all GSIPM students have professional experience abroad. We emphasize immersive and open-architectural learning inside and outside of the classroom.  Opportunities for field experience are plentiful and students receive individualized career advice from the Center for Advising and Career Services.

Ours is an institution that integrates the best of its two top-ranked predecessors, the Graduate School of International Policy Studies and the Fisher Graduate School of International Business. We are a community hungry for professional excellence in cross-culture, cross-border and cross-sector problem solving and a sustainable world.
