IPSS Assignment: United Nations Conference on Trade and Development – Geneva, Switzerland

Sheyna Arthur is originally from Fort Washington, Maryland, and earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After over 5 years working in international education and development, she entered the Monterey Institute (MIIS) to pursue a master’s in international policy studies with a concentration in trade and development. During her time at MIIS, Sheyna was a research assistant to Amb. Alan Wm. Wolff, former Deputy USTR, participated on a research team on corporate social responsibility that conducted a workshop on their findings at the Beijing World Trade Center and was president of the MIIS International Trade Club.

Sheyna completed her IPSS assignment at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, Switzerland. As a member of the Investment Promotion Section, she developed training modules on foreign investment and investor targeting for policymakers, as well as researched, drafted and edited reports on trade and investment capacity building. She also organized panels and managed logistics for high-level meetings on investment for conferences in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Doha, Qatar.
