I am excited to be the new Volunteer Coordinator at the World Affairs Council of Oregon

Screen Shot 2016-04-05 at 3.37.34 PMI am happy to announce that I am the new volunteer coordinator at the World Affairs Council of Oregon (WACO). I am excited to be supporting them in their mission to broaden public awareness and understanding of international affairs and to engage Oregonians with the world. The Council’s staff and programs work to serve as a community resource on international affairs, enhance international education in the schools, and sponsor international professional visitors.

As the volunteer coordinator, I will be assisting them with the recruitment, coordination, and management of their incredible team of interns and volunteers. The World Affairs Council of Oregon offers over 40 public programs each year with experts and world leaders; hosts over 500 emerging leaders and entrepreneurs from around the globe and provides assistance to K-12 schools in their important work of teaching students to become citizens of the world.

I look forward to creating meaningful volunteer and internIMG_5196 (1)ship experiences and help to improve the programs and events of the World Affairs Council of Oregon. This will include organizing professional development opportunities, networking opportunities, and serving as the liaison between volunteers/inters and their supervisors.
