The goal of Celebrating Foreign Language Education: A Monterey Bay Symposium is to join the linguistic resources of the Monterey Peninsula.

Last year, over 150 representatives attended, with representatives from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (a graduate school of Middlebury College), the Defense Language Institute, the Naval Postgraduate School, California State University Monterey Bay, Monterey Peninsula College, University of California Berkeley, Stevenson School,  Alisal High School, Marshall School,  City College of San Francisco, and CTB/McGraw-Hill.
