This panel discussion will address the pedagogical benefits of using technology and social media to stimulate Chinese language learning. Participants will learn how the social media platforms Facebook and Twitter have both created and expanded the arenas for students to learn language, and how these spaces foster student creativity and independence. Specific emphasis will be placed on the cognitive aspects of language development.
