2016 SYMPOSIUM

The Monterey Bay Foreign Language Education Symposium (FLEDS) is an annual community event held on the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.  The symposium aims to celebrate and enrich foreign language education through the exchange of recent developments and innovations in the field.  The them for 2016 was “Practices, Progress & Possibilities.”

 

naditz3The 2016  keynote speaker was Nicole Naditz, a French teacher to grades 3 through 12, including AP French Language since 1993, winner of the 2010 Jane Ortner Educating through Music Award, 2011-2012 San Juan Teacher of the Year, founder of the Read Around the World Program, San Juan USD Teacher of the Year in 2012, Sacramento County Teacher of the Year in 2012, and was one of 12 finalists for California State Teacher of the Year.
