Graduate Writing Center Now Open!

The Graduate Writing Center opens Monday, September 29th! This semester, the writing center will be open for drop-ins from 9am-12pm, Monday through Friday, and one-hour appointments will be available from 4pm to 8pm, Monday through Thursday. Make an appointment today at www.gwc.genbook.com.

MIIS Toastmasters!

Need to brush up on your interviewing skills? Find it difficult to speak your mind during class discussions? You're cordially invited to the next Toastmasters meeting to find out what it takes to express yourself clearly and confidently in a public setting. Simulation Class Visit

CTBTO Chief Participates in Nonproliferation Negotiation Simulation Class, Inspires Students

Dr. Lassina Zerbo, executive secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization, visited the Monterey Institute’s James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) on September 18-19. While in Monterey, he participated in the opening session of the popular semester-long course conducted by CNS Director William Potter, in which students simulate negotiations between nations at the NPT Review Conference. Team El Salvador: Planting Financially Sustainable Seeds in the Lower Lempa

Students from MIIS have worked closely with the Mangrove Association and La Coordinadora for nearly 10 years through the Team El Salvador (TES) J-term program.
