Want to get involved in MIIS Radio? There are a number of ways to support your school radio station.
Nominate yourself or highlight a friend! Podcasts are designed to highlight a specific aspect of our community so if you gravitate towards any of our current segments or have a suggestion for a new segment, let us know!
Be a MIIS Radio Champion! Faculty, staff and students can all support MIIS Radio by suggesting stories for us to cover, doing radio projects for classes and events, and promoting stories you liked to the people around you.
MIIS Radio Independent Producers receive training in storytelling, audio recording and editing skills. Producers have access to radio recording equipment in studio and to take into the field. This can be an extracurricular activity, or you can receive 1-2 credits as a directed study.
Email GPayne@miis.edu, or stop by the Digital Learning Commons to learn more. Radio days are Tuesday and Thursday 1-4pm, and the Commons is open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm. You can find us in McGowan 001 located in downtown Monterey at 420 Calle Principal.

To rent radio equipment, you need to be a trained audio producer in good standing with the DLC. Please email GPayne@miis.edu to set up a training session. There is a limited amount of equipment, so please contact us ahead of time if you need to rent an audio kit for a specific time. Rentals are normally for 24 hours.
