MIIStales

Clear the air.

MIIS is an intercultural landmark and safe haven for students from all over the world. We’ve walked, biked, boated, and flown to all the different corners of the globe, but can we really say we understand what it means to be the solution if we don’t understand each other? As MIIS students, we too often accept at face value feel-good labels of internationalism and interculturalism, but for those endorsements to be true we need to listen to each other more carefully and reflect appropriately. MIIStales is back on the scene this spring with exciting insights from your fellow students with something to say!

Starting again this spring, MIIStales is open to all students who feel the urge to clear the air about their experiences abroad, focusing primarily on Return Peace Core Volunteers (RPCVs), Yellow Ribbon recipients, and other students with interesting and insightful experiences where clarity has become an issue. As an interviewee, consider this a safe space. And as a listener, consider it a privilege to listen carefully and reflect. If you would like to be interviewed for MIIStales, or if you would like to suggest someone to speak about their experience, please email dlc@miis.edu.

Please find the MIIStales podcasts in the feed on the home page until they are housed properly.
