“Your professors, byte sized.”

Inspired by the myriad experienced professionals teaching on campus, this segment showcases our professors outside the classroom, off the clock, and on the record. Professors and staff members often come across as overwhelming or enigmatic when we only interact with them as sources of knowledge, but if we’re encouraged to act as alumni from day one, shouldn’t we get to know our professors as people too? Of course! Thus, Pro Bytes was born!

Faculty and staff are invited to a DLC recording booth to be interviewed one-on-one in a comfortable setting. We ask that they talk about anything and everything from their role in the MIIS system to their middle school crushes, but for the most part interviews highlight their aspirations, experiences, and personalities. Our beloved MIIS professors deserve a safe space to talk about the edges of their research and the things that bring them back to Earth! So please show your support and suggest professors you’d like to hear from by sending an email to dlc@miis.edu.
