Conference Sustainability Review

In preparation for our inaugural conference, we asked the Monterey Institute community for help in identifying what ways the SEGP could use to make “Ethical Governance in the 21st Century” more sustainable and generally more environmentally friendly. Thanks to Edy Rhodes very early on in the conference preparation process, we established the Environmental Sustainability Group, an effort to educate the conference planners on how to approach event sustainability. Since then, Rachel Confair, a 4th semester IEP student at the Monterey Institute, has single-handedly given the SEGP any and all information relevant to achieving as high a sustainability as possible. Shown below, in an effort to promote transparency and the idea that sustainability is indeed available to large conferences like ours, is Ms. Confair’s review.
