Bob Cole, Digital Learning Commons
Bob works in the Digital Learning Commons and has been on staff at the Institute since 2001. A Monterey-Salinas area native, Dad of 3 awesome kiddos, alumnus of the MATESOL program (’96), and former director of Intensive English Programs, he advises the graduate assistant team in the Digital Learning Commons, supports faculty in the use of curricular technology, and is actively involved in TEDxMonterey and TEDxYouth@Monterey. You may see him delivering organic veggies on Tuesday afternoons for the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Coop he volunteers his time for.
Anna Dudney, Institutional Advancement
Anna works in the Institutional Advancement Office as Development Coordinator. She assists in planning and implementing the Institute’s Annual Fund and other development-related projects. Anna is a Monterey native and returned to the area after graduating from Loyola Marymount University. Some of her favorite activities include running, reading, and traveling.
Megan Joyce, Office of Student Services
Megan works in the Office of Student Services and spends her time working on issues related to student housing, club activities, and designing outreach materials for the office and student organizations. A graduate from the University of North Texas (the “greenest” school in the state, and proud of it!) she recently relocated to the Monterey area and enjoyed exploring all of the wonderful things the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. In her off time she enjoys playing the piano, painting, reading and exploring her new home.
Heather Kokesch, Intensive Language Programs for GSTILE
Heather has worked as a Program Coordinator for Translation and Interpretation Short Programs (TISP), Custom Language Services (TI-CLS), and as a Logistics Coordinator for the Intensive English Programs (ESL) for the past year and a half. She is also a Returned Peace Corps Philippines Volunteer and has and MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and a Language Program Administration (LPA) professional certificate from MIIS. Heather enjoys traveling, going to the beach, being active, and eating out with friends.
Avi Rao, Business Office
Avi has been a MIIS Accountant since 2006. He works with various departments throughout MIIS and has made bean counting an art form, or so he says. Avi is a graduate of UCLA (Go Bruins!) and attended Pacific Grove High School. In his spare time he likes playing tennis, hiking, and reading a good book or two.
Alice Villemaire, Recruiting
Alice has worked in the Recruiting Department since May 2008. She is the Administrative Assistant and also responsible for overseeing all advertising for the department. In her spare time she enjoys golf, power walks, spin classes, family and friends.
