Team Peru is a unique, impact driven, immersive experience. We are a movement that allows for students to make the most of their education, while simultaneously having a positive impact on people’s lives. In conjunction with the Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a professional environment that caters to his or her particular academic area of focus. Based on each individual’s knowledge, interests, and passion, each participant is assigned to a project where, as a group, they are encouraged to take full ownership and responsibility of the planning and implementation of that project. Leaders are there to assist and facilitate this process.

- Student Driven: Students directly manage the initiatives
- Teamwork: Students work in teams both at MIIS and in Peru
- Action in all sectors: Students are involved in everything from community projects to large NGO network initiatives
Team Peru leaders established The Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development (AASD) to mobilize the social sector in Peru and facilitate this unique experience. The AASD is a recognized non-profit in Peru. This alliance will facilitate the projects by connecting students to the initiatives that align with the characteristics of the Team Peru model. The AASD is focused on alliances both within Peru and abroad with MIIS as a crucial partner in the evolution of the organization.

Hello, I am a post graduate student at UNU IAS in Japan. I just happened to run into your video on You Tube and was very impressed of what your organization is doing. I am interested in Education in Sustainable Development and was wondering if you guys are part of Regional Centers of Experties(RCE ) in Peru. IN addition, I would like to ask if I am able to join you guys sometime next year?
