Arantxa Cedillo: Broken Rules

A good friend of mine shared this lovely photography project documenting Nepali women who have defied cultural gender norms, therefore playing vital part in the women’s empowerment movement.  Having been personally frustrated by gender limitations, I especially appreciated hearing stories of Nepali women who are fighting them. I’m not at all sure how yet, but it is my great hope to work toward women’s empowerment in some way, shape or form while I am here.
