A stormy day in Zaatari Camp for Syrian Refugees. As of 2016 most of the residents’ tents have been replaced by the preferred caravans. The caravans are more protective, but they also flood, leak and are stifling during the desert summer heat. About 80,000 of the more than 65,000 registered Syrians refugees in Jordan live in Zaatari Camp. As of September 2016, there are 4.8 million registered Syrian refugees throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
