Although there is absolutely no direct link between the two, it offers a direct look at those in the developing world who do not have the privilege of social distancing. Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line is an absorbing book that recounts a crisis affecting a slum in India as told through the eyes of a young boy. Thoroughly entertaining, it is populated by memorable characters who are so infrequently featured in literature and the media.
