A beautiful day for a shish kabob

The day was Saturday. The weather was cloudy, the wind was strong. It was a bit cold, no one really wanted to be outside. However, I was determined to put on a successful barbecue.

The first students arrived, and then we finally began our shish kabob barbecue party!

Students had the option of making their own shish-kabobs. One student, Mr. Nurdilda Oraz, took over as the grill master. I supplied the mushrooms, the onions, the green bell peppers, the potatoes, the pineapples, the cherry tomatoes, and the marinade (a delicious garlic-ginger sauce!). A few of the students brought some delicious meat to cook as well: sausages, cuts of beef, and hamburger meat.  We put it all together with a little bit of salt and a little bit of pepper, and we made something delicious.

We huddled around the grill, we cooked, we talked, and we had fun. Will we do more barbecues in the future? Yes we will. Will they be even better and more fun? Yes they will. Can we eat good food, talk with good friends, and play great games? Yes we can.IMG_20150523_132513641_HDR IMG_20150523_125951973_HDR IMG_20150523_125226168_HDR IMG_20150523_124450323 IMG_20150523_123606135_HDR
