The Digital Learning Commons (DLC) at the Monterey Institute of International Studies is a multi-level, interdisciplinary media studio, where students and faculty bring ideas and projects to life using all levels of integrated technology. What do I mean?

If you have a passionate idea, it likely deserves design thinking. Design thinking is the first step to unpacking and appreciating all the various aspects of your idea. Your idea doesn’t exist in a vacuum and we as consultants are here to help you hash out how to deliver that idea. Our full-time and graduate assistant staff are trained to think abstractly with you about your idea.

And if and when your idea flourishes from the design thinking phase, our staff can help walk you through the process of bringing it to life! We will help guide you to the right media source, high or low-tech, and then lead you through all the detailed steps of creation. We’re human-centered, design-thinking, tech-savvy trouble shooters with the space to spread out, create, and promote appropriately for nearly anything!
