The Foreign Area Officer Association of Monterey (FAOAM) invites any FAO/RAO/RAS/PAS and anyone else interested in international or regional affairs, to include MIIS students, to join our organization. Our mission is to support and promote the Foreign Area Officer (FAO) community through activities such as brown-bag lectures, dinners, and the annual FAO conference.

The Association is a great way to meet and network with other FAOs from all branches and regions. It also is a great resource for those who will be working with FAOs in the future in order to learn more about the community and what it has to offer.

If this is an organization you would be interested in learning more about, please join us for a meet-n-greet in the Del Monte room (basement of Herrmann Hall, Naval Post Graduate School) on Thursday, 22 October at 1500. Please grab your drinks from the Trident room and join us for the festivities next door. We will move to the Trident Room after 1700, so if you can’t come until later, please join us there.

If you are unable to attend the meet-n-greet but are still interested in joining and hearing about our events, please register on our website to join our mailing list or contact any of our current officers. There is no cost or commitment when you join FAOAM.
