The New America Foundation is hosting a panel discussion followed by a free cocktail reception.  “Where’s My Green Job? – Extending the Promise of Green Jobs into a Long Green Boom for California”: A provocative discussion on how California’s innovators and policy makers can build green jobs and much more.

The keynote address will be given by Steve Westly, Founder and Managing Partner of the Westly Group, discussing How California can Lead the Clean Tech Revolution. The panel discussion – Beyond Green Jobs: Californian Innovations – will feature Tracey Grose, Vice President, Research & Strategic Development at Collaborative Economics, Inc.; Joseph Oldham, Sustainability Manager, City of Fresno; Kathy Gerwig, Vice President, Workplace Safety and Environmental Stewardship Officer, Kaiser Permanente; Sunil Paul, Founding Partner of Spring Ventures; and Michael P. Wilson, Ph.D, MPH, Berkeley Center of Green Chemistry, UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Closing remarks will be given by Lisa Margonelli, author of Oil On the Brain: Petroleum’s Long Strange Trip to Your Tank.
