Cob Building Workshop: Watsonville, April 24-25th

What: Cob Building Workshop
When: April 24th – 25th, 2010, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Where: Watsonville (behind Alba organic farm).  Camping is available on the property.

Cost: $150  (includes both lunches and BBQ on Saturday evening).  Some work trades available.

You’ll learn how to mix cob, build plaster walls, make a cob floor and prepare a roof by helping to build a cottage.  Cob is a building material consisting of clay, sand, straw, water, and earth, similar to adobe.  Cob is fireproof, resistant to seismic activity, and inexpensive.
