Fall Fest 2010! November 20
The MIIS Outdoor Recreation Club sponsored Fall Fest 2010 events have been confirmed! See Below:
5k Turkey Trot 10am-12pm
The UN and Red Cross Clubs have teamed up to bring you a 5K Turkey Trot:
Where: Bike Path
When: Saturday November 20, 10am-12pm. Arrive at the start line at 9:30am
What: Will be open to the community and will serve as a fundraiser for the Measles Initiative. The goal of the Measles Initiative, a partnership led by the American Red Cross, the United Nations Foundation, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, UNICEF and the World Health Organization, is to reduce the global measles mortality.
Cost: $10
Sign Ups: Will be at Samson on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2-6pm. Cash or checks only.
ODRC BBQ 11am to 1pm
ORDC will be serving up burgers again this semseter! Veggie burgers are included. For every you buy you’ll be entered into a raffle for an REI backpacking backpack!! Volunteers are needed.
Japan Forum’s Bake Sale 11am to 1pm
Come support the Japan Forum! They’ve been baking up a storm testing new kinds of baked goods.

Our Green Thumb garden is hosting a Bake Off !
Who: You!
What: Bake the best cookies you can! Two Secret ingredients will be released by 10pm Thursday. You can either use one or both of the secret ingredients, and will be judged on how they are used.
How: Fill out an application at Samson sometime this week. The cost to participate is $10 per submission, multiple submissions are allowed. You can sign up this week in the Samson courtyard.
When: Cookie submissions are due at the Holland Center no later than 11am Saturday.
Why: To win a free night at the Portola Plaza Hotel
The Great Pumpkin Team Relay Race 2-3pm
Ever want to compete against your professors or the staff at MIIS for a prize?
Winners of the the relay race will receive a team prize! Best team costumes will also receive a prize.
Cost: $12 per team
Amount in each team: 3-4
