The Monterey Institute will run the 8th Annual Holiday Food Drive, starting Wednesday, December 1st. The goal of the drive is to raise one pound/0.45 kg of food for every student, staff and faculty member on campus, for a total of 1,000 lbs/453kg.

Organized by Leah Gowron, The food drive runs for ten business days, from December 1-14th. All food donations go to the Food Bank for Monterey County, for distribution to a range of food service agencies .

Food donation barrels will be available in the main lobby of the McCone Building. Monetary donations will accepted (cheques made out to Food Bank for Monterey County) at the Simoneau Alumni House.

Thanks for the years of terrific support on this food drive—the campus has raised more than 7,000 lbs/ 3150 kgs of food since the drive began in 2003.
