Spotlight on Domestic Nuclear Safety Leads National Media to CNS Experts
The state of emergency caused by a series of failures at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan after the massive earthquake and huge tsunami of March 11 has led to a serious re-examination of safety issues at nuclear power facilities in the United States. Many media outlets have turned to the experts at MIIS’s James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) for comments and opinions.
CNS Research Wins Prize for Best Thesis
The Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS) awarded CNS Postdoctoral Fellow Benoit Pelopidas the top prize for the best doctoral thesis in International Studies for 2010.
