World Bank seeks communications officer- Deadline: July 6

The World Bank seeks an online communications officer with a journalism degree and related experience to manage day-to-day operations of select sites and create original content.

The job is based in Washington, D.C., and open to non-U.S. citizens (international hire).

Some of the requirements include: a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International Relations/Public Affairs, Journalism, Marketing, Political Science or other related disciplines; a minimum of five years’ experience in managing web sites, including writing and/or editing for the web and proven writing and editing skills, with a strong command of English and an ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, direct, and lively style.

English fluency is essential while a knowledge of French and Russian are desired.
