Are you interested in cross cultural awareness? Do you have an interest in immersive and impactful work? We need people who are passionate about our community and who are excited by experiential learning to come join the innovation clinic at the DLC! It will be an opportunity to design and expand a community based immersive learning program at MIIS.

Since January of 2011, students in the MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program have been offering free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at the Peace Resource Center in Seaside, California. We have put our TESOL curriculum design skills into action, helping local non-native English speakers build their communication skills so that they in turn become more empowered as individuals and community members. To ensure the sustainability of this program, our group would like to involve the wider MIIS community in our project. There are opportunities to engage learners, fundraise, apply for grants, and even more, we just need your ideas! Come join this clinic to help us find ways to improve and expand the emerging program.
