Undergraduate students participating in the Monterey Institute’s Global Trade and Development Program will be showcasing their knowledge this Thursday in a Trade Negotiation Simulation in Irvine Auditorium.

Participating students come from United World Colleges and hail from locations as diverse as Middlebury to Mozambique. They have come to the Monterey Institute to take a three-week course taught by ten MIIS professors and will negotiate Chinese and American trade policy as a means of pulling together all the elements of their prior experience and newly gained knowledge.

In MIIS fashion, students come from the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uganda, China, Ethiopia, Nepal, Belarus, Botswana, Malawi, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the Dominican Republic

The Simulation is open to all to observe and will take place Thursday, August 2nd at 2pm in Irvine Auditorium. This is a great opportunity learn about the complex dealings that shape our economies and lives.
