Combining his degree in International Policy Studies with his personal experience growing up in Pakistan, Amir Murtaza (MAIPS) has been busy advocating for improving life in Pakistan, particularly for women and children.

After  graduation, Murtaza returned to Pakistan to consult for the United Nations, international aid agencies and the government of Pakistan. Fusing together his academic background, Murtaza founded the Human and Community Development Clinic, which serves as a free consultant and financier of local non-profits, community groups and individuals who share his vision of social justice.

Murtaza is quickly building his profile. His work on the status of human rights and ways to improve the lives of Pakistan’s most marginalized has not gone unnoticed; his writing has been published in several human-rights-based journals, newspapers and websites.
