Professor Jan Black, GSIPM, spent most of the summer traveling in Europe for meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements. Highlights included delivering a paper on the trajectory of the women’s movement for the International Conference on Social Science, meeting in Barcelona, and a keynote address on human rights in London for the Third Biennial Global Summit www.TheGlobalSummit.org, similar to a Davos. She was also able to visit with a dozen former students in New York, London, Madrid, and Tunisia.
