Hands of Hope event was presented by Rising International and it took place on Friday, October 12 at the new Hotel Paradox in Santa Cruz.

Rising International enables economic empowerment to impoverished women locally and globally. Every year, Rising holds an inspirational event called Hands of Hope to raise awareness and funds. This year the event took place Friday, October 12th at the new boutique hotel, Hotel Paradox, in Santa Cruz.  Rising was honored to welcome Sarah Symons as the keynote speaker. Sarah is a leading expert in human trafficking and has partnered with Rising to create a hand crafted line of jewelry made by women rescued from trafficking in India. This program allows the women to live independently and with dignity.

Rising also has a local entrepreneurship program to train under-employed women all over the Bay Area. These women run their own businesses selling jewelry and other handmade goods in a house party format. It’s a total win-win. The more the local entrepreneurs proposer, the more they change the world.

Every day Rising International hears from impoverished women locally and globally whose dream is to become a thriving entrepreneur and create a better life for their children; this event allowed Rising to expand and serve more women.
