In her latest article, Prof. Lyuba Zarsky discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the large-scale mining industry by calling these extractive projects a “double-edged sword.” She talks about the imbalance between the creation of jobs/improvement of infrastructure and the neglect of enforcing other industries.
Prof. Zarsky teaches MBA as well as IEP classes. She also works with the Center for the Blue Economy where research on economics is combined with the promotion of environmental friendly policies with regard to ocean and coastal sustainability.
