Training Seminar on Human Rights and the Environment: Synergies and Challenges, November 2013

The European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC) in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are seeking applications for a training seminar which will analyse the existing ties between human rights and the environment for a more sustainable development. The course will take place between 21-23 November, 2013.

The proposed training course aims at integrating environmental issues and their legal tools with a human rights framework, by involving Conservation Ecology experts side by side with internationally recognised academics and practitioners in the field of Human Rights, International Law and Environmental Law.

indexThe seminar, held in English, is open to graduate students from all disciplines willing to deepen their knowledge in this field. It is further open to officials from regional, national and international organisations wishing to better understand how to integrate human rights and environmental issues in their daily work.
