In January 2016 Katie Barthelow and Anna Santos, the two senior IDSP fellows, went to Coco Solo to do a workshop on digital storytelling. The youth of Coco Solo practiced using their imaginations to create their own stories using different digital tools.
The result of the workshop was an original movie, La boda de primavera (A Spring Wedding), which was written, shot, directed, and performed by the young people in the area.
This short film follows the youth of Coco Solo, giving a behind the scenes peek into the making of their movie. The story of their journey ends in a special screening of their original film, La boda de primavera.
The workshop in Coco Solo was lead and organized by Katie Barthelow and Anna Santos. The Making of film was shot and edited by Pedro Bitar.
