DPMI Client Project with American University in Cairo, January 2017

When it came time study, it wasn’t always easy finding a place alone with all the mischievous cats on campus. Nevertheless, I could always count on them to offer a little relief from assignments and readings.

From start to finish my cohort and I were very busy. Often times we would find ourselves running around Cairo in the morning and attending our classes in the evening. We were as busy as the City of Cairo itself. Always hustle and bustle.

We were fortunate enough to have the ISSA office show all the ins and outs of Cairo as well as other areas of Egypt. AND FROM BEGINNING TO END THE FOOD WAS A VIBRANT AS THE EGYPTIAN CULTURE!

When we weren’t exploring the sites, sounds and smells of Egypt, we had the fortunate opportunity of partnering with the Better World Foundation, founded by MIIS alum Hany Amin.

HERE WE HELPED CARRY OUT THE BETTER WORLD FOUNDATION’S MISSION BY DEVELOPING A PROJECT TO IMPROVE THERE ONLINE PRESENCE AND MARKETABILITY.

Participating in the DPMI Client Project Cairo was an amazing experience that I will always be able to look back at in my life. What made the experience so wonderful wasn’t the food, or the big tourist sites like the pyramids, or sand surfing in the Sahara. It was the people. The people in Egypt were some of the most genuine, caring, hardworking, and passionate people I have met anywhere in the world. That is what made this trip so special for me. I will always remember the people I worked with, met, collaborated, and shared stories with as well as the projects and outcomes we were able to achieve together.
