France J-Term Practicum
On the Onsite Perspectives: International Education Management in France course, we spent two and a half weeks in Paris. We were able to observe a number of orientation sessions at various institutions in Paris, with the added benefit of speaking with the individuals who were in charge of each event. We were able to participate in lectures and discussions with the managers of several study abroad providers in Paris. We worked in a team of 2 or 3 students partnered with a learning partner in Paris to create a deliverable,during our time in Paris – building off our backgrounds, using the skills we had gained at MIIS, the skills we were developing in Paris.
“Although our weeks were full of fascinating observations, lectures and site visits, students participating in the course took advantage of their time on the weekends to immerse themselves in the culture and sites of Paris so truly not a minute was wasted.”
