Born in Wrocław, Poland and immigrating to San Francisco via Munich, I had felt the tug of Europe my entire life. I studied the EU enlargement as it occurred in 2004 for my degree concentration. Upon graduation, I started my career in political campaigning. I threatened to live abroad when Dubya won, but my boyfriend at the time convinced me not to give up, that I was needed here. It worked.
