College Entrepreneur of the Year Competition 2012

Entrepreneur Magazine is now accepting applications for the College Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 Competition.

Prizes Include:

  • $5,000 in startup capital for your business idea
  • Profile and promotion in a special section of the January 2013 issue of Entrepreneur®magazine and in a follow-up article in the December 2013 issue
  • $500 gift certificate for products and services at any of The UPS Store locations
  • Expense-paid transportation and accommodations to award ceremony in Dallas
  • 3-year subscription to Entrepreneur Magazine

Happy Hour Speaker Series Friday May 4

Join the MBASA for the year’s final professional development event.  Intel marketing manager and alumna Sharon Braich will be sharing her thoughts on corporate America and offering her advice on how to grow professionally after graduation.  Meet us in Morse B106 for an informal chat at 4 and follow us to the Student Council Happy Hour at 5!

April 5 Net Impact Sustainable Fashion Show

In support of our friends at Net Impact, the MBASA would like to publicize the Sustainable Fashion Show, happening in Irvine from 7-9 pm on Thursday, April 5. Tickets are $7 each or 2 for $5 and include admission and refreshments following the show. Get your tickets outside Samson! Also, donate your clothes in bins in Quiet Samson and McCone for use in the show.

April 12 Berkeley-Stanford Cleantech Conference

The eighth annual Berkeley-Stanford Cleantech Conference will be held at Stanford University on Thursday, April 12. MIIS students are invited to attend this unique event, featuring keynote speakers Elizabeth Littlefield, President & CEO of Overseas Private Investment Corporation and Vinod Khosla, founding partner of Khosla Ventures. March 9 Happy Hour Speaker Series

Join the MBASA to hear retired HP executive, Barcelona native, and Monterey Bay local Luis Huix speak about his career and offer his advice to students. This event will be held in room Morse B106 from 4-5 pm. Swing by Samson for some drinks and fun at the Student Council Happy Hour after his talk!

Students, faculty, and staff from all programs are welcome to attend this event.
