Tomorrow’s planned skill-building session focused on dynamic presentations is cancelled. The conversation with Kent @ Peter Bs beginning at 4 pm — we’ll go from 4-5 pm — to provide feedback on how the Wicked Water Challenge has gone for you, and how it can be improved for next year, is still on. Drinks are on Kent.

Join Professor Moyara Reuhsen on Friday, April 4, at the DLC, from 2-4 pm (NOTE THE UNUSUAL TIME), to learn some important skills for presenting your ideas to the judging panel on April 23. The session’s being tailored for that event, so it’ll be a good place to get a better understanding of a) who the judges will be, and b) the setting for the presentation.
Following the session, join Kent for an informal conversation — drinks on Kent — at Peter Bs to talk a bit about how the “Nor Any Drop to Drink” wicked water challenge has worked for you, and any thoughts you have about improving it for next year.

Hey, Wicked Water Challenge competitors: We’ve just scheduled Ron Cohen — head of Public Water Now — to come and talk to students about a public takeover of Cal-Am. PWN was instrumental in gaining enough signatures for a referendum on this issue in June. We’ll start @ 4:30, Wednesday, March 12, and it will be held in MG99.

Water Challenge students!
You’re about halfway through the process. You’ve made your teams, spoken with various stakeholders, and are probably knee-deep in your projects. Maybe some of you have a solution in mind, maybe others are feeling overwhelmed at the amount of information out there. Either way, it’s a perfect time to take a beat, and start anew with a fresh perspective.
Come join the Innovation Incubator and Sarah Springer for a Design Thinking Workshop and re-think your idea. The full MIIS community is invited to participate, so take advantage of the insights others may have! March 7, 12-2 pm, @ the DLC.
